A fantastic place to stay

This place is fantastic! The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. All their recommendations and advice were much appreciated. Our conversations helped us to understand Cuba better.

A great place to relax after a busy day of activities. The location is perfect for walking the town and exploring the sights. You could not ask for more. We highly recommend staying here. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to return.

We stayed for two nights and loved the place. Excellent location, very helpful and friendly people with their cozumel trike tour recommendations, close to the restaurants, the center, and the location where we wanted to do some horse riding. Very clean and excellent breakfast. A place to recommend if you plan to visit Vinales.

My wife and I stayed at the casa for one night only due to our tight schedule while visiting Cuba, but I would definitely recommend it. The room was big, with all the necessary amenities and a fridge full of drinks. Rey and the lady working with him (I can’t remember her name, unfortunately) were very welcoming, helpful and managed to arrange a tour by taxi and horseback riding on the spot for us.

An amazing Casa is offering perfect accommodation, just off the main street in Vinales. Both the hosts were accommodating and attentive. Rooms are spotless and tidy. An excellent lobster meal can be ordered in advance as the dining area is very quaint and charming. Very generous and varied breakfasts too. Lovely place.

This Case is excellent from being met from the transfer to collection on leaving all excellent, take the option of eating here one evening as well as food is fantastic, They are happy to arrange bookings for local sites of interest as well.

Stayed there early April for 3 nights only husband and I but we got a lovely room with a double and 2 single beds and own terrace. Was great to watch daily life whilst relaxing. Hosts were lovely and humoured my attempts at improving my Spanish ! We ate there one evening which was nice and organized a walking trip via the casa. Good value for money would definitely recommend.

Convenient location and helpful staff

We spent 4 nights here after 10 at a resort in Disneyland (viz: Varadero). The stairs look iffy to North American eyes but compared to all of the other cases I’ve stayed in Cuba are in excellent condition (99% intact with a solid handrail!).

Maybe it has excellent English and is very knowledgeable. Good breakfast and close to the major sites and excellent restaurants. There is always a staff member there who give cozumel mini submarine tips, most with limited English but all helpful and friendly.

From the airport, the casa is very easy to reach in half an hour ride. We got a room in the private veranda, and it was indeed hushed and well equipped with air conditioning.

The casa’s position is strategic, and the first night we had dinner in the restaurant just in front of the casa – Teniente Rey 360 – where I got a really really good Ropa Vieja (probably the best of my trip to Cuba). The day after we met the owner, Lourdes, who gave us a lot of great hints on where to eat, what to visit, and so on.

The whole staff of the casa is hot and welcoming. One of the ladies, Regla, puts excellent care and will cook for you a really fantastic breakfast. The breakfast, as in other places in Cuba, cost 5CUC and was absolutely the best we have had during our trip. Try Reglas torrejas because you will not regret it!

Also, the casa has got wifi connection which means that if you buy the Nauta card, you can use the card (even only one for more people) in the casa without needing to go to full internet areas.

We had the pleasure of staying in Casa Lourdes Havana 1913. The owners took such good care of us. Perfectly appointed. Delicious breakfast. Centrally located. You can’t go wrong. Owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Really dear, sweet, caring people.

The people in the house were all fantastic! The lady spoke really good English and answered all our questions in detail. Also, everything was spotless and tidy. But what was also great was the casa’s location! Thank you for everything!

Loved the resort

We had a great holiday, lovely clean resort, modern room, with everything we needed. All the staff was terrific, especially animation, who was very attentive, especially Adrian and Mia. The entertainment was great, plenty of choice food and not forgetting all the delicious cocktails.

My husband and I arrived on the 9th of June for our honeymoon although my mistake I booked as a holiday through Thomas cook forgetting to add it was our honeymoon. But wow what a place to continue to fall In love. The staff is very accommodating – one of them told me about the snuba diving cozumel tours we can take, and the hotel and beach are absolutely beautiful. Considering how busy it is, it still never feels crowded we’ve not even left to go home and are already planning on our return. Thank you for giving us the best start to married life.

Had a great time. All was perfect. In particular, the beach and pool animators are so fantastic. Thanks, Jeannie in the bottle, Yuris, and Charlie. Good food, clean rooms. Too many mosquitoes for my liking, but knowing beforehand helped.

We were here for a small wedding, and the setting is fantastic. We saw dolphins in the sea on our first night there. The staff is excellent and accommodating. We did a few trips – all worthwhile, crocodiles, Moron, and speedboat. A great place to go – you won’t be disappointed.

I did the pool once, but the only reason I did it earlier is that i have a pool of my own so I make sure I stay at the beach for pretty much the whole day. The animators made me feel so welcome, and shows are a must see notably the Brazilian Show.

I also have to talk about Roberto Carmona Ramirez, he is the director of food and beverages. Roberto is such a fantastic human being, there is not one day that went by that he didn’t go out of his way to say good morning to you and made sure your stay was pleasant.

The main reason I would go back to Pullman is because of Roberto. I wish I could talk directly to his boss and tell them what kind of gem they have. In a nutshell, the resort at it’s entirely is a 5 star.

Return to Paradise

I visited Sol Palmeras for 1 week from May 29 – June 5, 2019, along with a group of 7 people. The resort and beach were beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly and always gave service with a smile. I loved being able to have an ice cream bar on the resort. The buffet was great and had a lot of variety of food (I was always kept full!). If I were to give an improvement, sometimes the pool could have been cleaner.

I want to send a special thanks to those who provided excellent service. These individuals always went above and beyond and deserved a raise. At the buffet: Jorge, Lasiel, Humberto, Olga, Barbarito, Maria Teresa, Cocina and Abel (thanks for always making great spaghetti). At the lobby bar: Lasiel Yamilet Reyes.

Good food with lots of options. Beautiful beaches and pools. Friendly staff – they recommended me the cozumel atv tours for my family, and excellent entertainment staff! They make every second here fun! Hi to Juan and Yohanky, thanks for the basketball game! Clean room and lobby, everyone here is so friendly. And they work hard to put on entertaining shows every night.

When I was last there, the beach had “shrunk” considerably but happy to say it has been reclaimed and looks fantastic again. New palapas for shade and more sunbeds have been added. Have to admit, the beach is my favorite spot. I am one of those people who put my towel on the sunbed very early in the morning, but I am back on the beach by 9.30 at the latest and there most of the day.

It was the 29th anniversary of the hotel while I was there. So lovely to see members of the staff enjoying the music in the indoor theatre that afternoon. Not sure who the singer was, but he had a fantastic voice.

Jorge and Francie at the Lobby Bar and Raime at the Turquino Bar go above and beyond looking after me. Muchas gracias amigos.

Now that I am back home, it is time to start planning my November 2019 trip. The excellent staff at the resort are the ones who make my vacations so enjoyable.

Another satisfied guest

The beach was amazing. You can walk for over 20 meters without having water over your ankles. Roberto, the animator, is the goat always ready to have fun and super welcoming. The weather was fantastic, and the sea was calm (June).

Beautiful resort, Beautiful People, Beautiful beaches! The manager Miguel Angel was just as his name states an Angel! He was super accommodating and made sure all our needs were met. The cook in the snack bar by the pool was a Doll, and he made the best sandwiches ever!

The entertainment was excellent, so beautiful and so talented and professional. Yandy Rodriguez (movie) was the best, his love for his job was infectious! He certainly belongs on the payroll, he was so accommodating, trying to make sure we had fun, he went above and beyond! What a little sweetheart! Some of the best people you could ever meet, and the resort is beautiful and very clean!

Sorry, it was years ago, I was just a young lad on my first time outside of Europe. I remember it like it was yesterday. Around the hotel is mangrove swamps for miles around with crystal clear waters and massive condors gliding overhead. The hotel was a little dated at the time, but I didn’t care, I loved every minute of it.

If you’re just going on a beach holiday, then it’s fantastic, but learn about the history of Cuba too. The best thing by far was the people. There was a dancer in the show called Simon who made friends with my girlfriend at the time. I made friends with a waiter named Reineer.

I wonder if either of them is still there? Anyway, we went to the local nightclubs and had the best time ever. The food was necessary, but you’re talking about a country were people sometimes only have eggs and rice to eat. That’s not a criticism of the people there are happy and proud to be Cuban. The coffee is excellent, tobacco great, people great, scenery, islands, cars I could go on. One day I will return here, I hope it hasn’t been ruined by then.

Great ambiance, fantastic staff with their riviera maya deep sea fishing tips and recommendations, and beautiful sandy beaches. What makes this hotel great is its friendly staff, and the new management has made incredible changes for the good. Blanca, Ofrei, Mariano, Yordanka, Yennis, Ulises, and many others will make your stay unforgettable.

Visited the beautiful beaches and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Well worth the traveling time to this lovely hotel! Great experience with the friendly staff, Lysette and Didier and Daniels was so sweet. Would highly recommend this place. Maybe just more internet connection would be helpful. Otherwise, it was the perfect detach and unwind In a fantastic setting.

No better way to explore

The owner is just so lovely and has a sense of welcome. We can feel sincerity and investment for their customers. Rooms are good, Clean, water in the fridge, air Conditioning, soap in the bathroom ( soap is not everywhere in casa particular), wifi.

Food is good as well. When you need something, Léo is always here to help you. We slept for 4 nights. You feel like at your home.

When we booked this B&B, it was initially for one night, because we did not really have our things planned for our whole trip. Nora offered a taxi to collect us from the airport, which we refused. We wanted to see local and be local.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted very, and Nora explained to us the difference between the monies Cuba have. She also recommended us the best snorkeling in riviera maya for our next trip. THANK YOU, I think it saved us quite a bit because we wouldn’t have known that the bars and the ice cream man gave us the wrong change if she did not educate us!

The house is clean, and you feel at home. We checked out to visit Varadero, and upon our return, decided to check in with Nora and her family again!

This is a great place to visit. In the heat, the rooms have working air con, fridges, fans, and en-suite bathrooms. We didn’t have the chance to meet Nora, but we were very well welcomed by her sisters and family who were lovely, we were given a lot of information about Havana and advice on what to do (and not to do).

Breakfast was delicious and in a friendly environment where we were chatting and discussing as friends. The casa is pretty well located, at walking distance from almost everything. It’s also prudent that we could have drinking water for free anytime needed. The casa is also very clean with we need, AC, hot water, plugs 110v and 220v.

Unbelievable Value!

My wife and I have been to Memories Jibacoa several times, and I still can’t believe the value for the dollar. The location, accommodation, food, amenities, and especially the staff are all outstanding! The food is plentiful and delicious if you pick items that you enjoy.

The a la carte restaurants are a nice change from the buffet, and the food and service are always great. You won’t find a better location for a resort which is surrounded by mountains, beaches, and oceans.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Kudos to Erling, the Entertainment Manager, for arranging fantastic entertainment throughout the day. Cuban musicians are so talented and passionate. One guy there told about an amazing cozumel discover scuba tour we want to take. The quality of the evening shows is getting better and better.

I’m very annoyed when I read some negative comments about this resort for many reasons. The staff works six days a week for between $20 and $30 a month! Yet, they work so hard to make sure we have an excellent vacation and always with smiles on their face.

To those who complain about minor things like the use of plastic glasses in the lobby (if you are staying in the hall, you will get a drink) or that, people are putting fingers in the buffet food (never seen this in our many trips). I’m sure this was an oversight, and many staff members speak excellent English) and as a result, give this resort a 1/5.

Perhaps you should pay twice as much and go to another island. My guess is you will find minor things to complain about anywhere you go!

Amazing stay. Finally, as many people have written, the Cuban people are lovely regardless of how difficult life is for them in Cuba. Please tip them a dollar whenever you’re happy with the service. It means so much to them knowing that you are happy with their efforts and will really help them to attempt to make ends meet.

Another Relaxing Stay

We came here after a tour of 2 weeks through Cuba. So we saw a lot of hotels. A lot were old and a little dirty. But not this Melia. We upgrade to a level suite, and it was so worth the money. The room was beautiful, clean, and such a nice bed.

We had room 5110, and the view is fantastic! We had breakfast at the buffet restaurant, it was a lot! But lunch we had at the tex mex because it was so busy to get in the buffet, there was a line! Tex Mex lunch is super, so no complaints!! For dinner, we loved the international the most, excellent service and the food is so good!

The piano bar we didn’t like at all, it was super loud and a way to busy. But the level lounge with Louis to was so fun. Good company and incredible drinks and snacks!

Umberto at the beach is a treasure, even it is 40 degrees he is getting you a drink, makes sure your bed is without sand, and the people without level stays away.

One of the most amazing and friendly places of all the traveling I’ve done. The food, unlike many others, was great, lots of flavor and choices. The staff under Mario at the level couldn’t do enough for us to make our vacation everything we hoped for – thank you for the taxi tours in cozumel suggestions. From Louisito in the level cafe, Oscar in baggage at the door, to Louis in social media. They were all absolutely amazing, and couldn’t do enough for us.

America Plaza is close so you can go shopping there without taking a taxi or bus. Too bad the hotel doesn’t have a private beach only a public one that you share with the locals, it is deafening on weekends, and trash is everywhere. Apart from this negative point, the place is great to relax, and you get a very professional service.

Amazing place to call home for a week

We stayed in the room with the private balcony, which was well worth it for the views and watching the sunset! All the staff are accommodating and can basically organize anything you fancy doing in Havana. The location is excellent – you can walk to Havana Vieja in around 40 mins if you fancy it and there are loads of cool bars and restaurants in Verdado too. Cocktails are reasonably priced and delicious, and the views over the city are beautiful. Great place to stay!

We loved staying here and will do so again on our next visit to Cuba. The staff was excellent, breakfast good, comfy bed, and enjoyed having a balcony. The location is in Vedado, which served our needs being central to many of the sights we chose to visit and yet a quiet neighborhood.

Our favorite part was breakfast on the open balcony. Loved it and the staff. So helpful. Always willing to answer our questions, make recommendations like the cozumel jeep and snorkel tour in Mexico, give directions, etc. such a fabulous location too. Easy to walk to the waterfront, great restaurants nearby and a cooked to order breakfast also.

We hope to return on another humanitarian mission to Cuba for Support of the Cuban people. We took toiletries that people appreciated so much. Crayons for the kids. We gave tips in toiletries making a full suitcase of toothbrushes, toothpaste, pencils, coloring books, etc. the Cuban people loved it. Probably will head to Trinidad, Cuba next time. Cleaner, prettier, more paint, and a waterfall nearby. Go to Cuba. You won’t regret it!

Casavana was such a beautiful place to stay – spacious, clean, modern accommodations. Balcony views of the Malecon and parts of the city, including the Presidential Hotel. Breakfast includes fresh fruit and juices, muffins, Cuban bread, eggs, sandwiches, tea, and of course unending cafe con leche!! They have a bartender onsite to mix your favorite drinks, including the best Mojito I had during my entire visit.

The management team and staff are incredible! So attentive, helpful, caring, and professional. They truly become your family! They will exchange currency, run out and get something you need, prepare what you want for breakfast, and help with most anything else you could need during your stay. I hope to return to Havana and will definitely stay at Casavana again.

Terrific staff, helpful, attentive, caring. Great breakfasts – lots fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, coffee, bread, eggs – you name it, they’ll try and provide it, I was with a group touring the arts with pre-arranged events ao I can’t comment on how centrally located it was. Within 1/2 block was a great Italian restaurant.

Favourite Resort in Varadero

My good friend and I had a life-changing stay at this resort. From the cleanliness, service, quality of food, location/beach access… to the most important, the ENTERTAINMENT! The entertainers were by far the most lively and exciting people, bringing cultural knowledge and flavor into the experience that was tempered with a good grasp of tourist languages and interests.

One entertainer, in particular, Brackin Hernandez, literally created a larger-than-life experience each day of our stay. Beyond involvement in the activities and performances, which were genuinely fascinating, he would find my friend and I (we are in our late-twenties, mature yet very young at heart) and involve us in games, challenges, and conversations that were so lively it literally brought our experience overall to another level.

He involved other visitors when we wished for a larger group and single-handedly drummed up exciting story-circles. He spontaneously appeared, alongside a variety of other entertainers, the moment even the hint of a lull could be perceived. His personality was incredible, and, in the end, his friendship was one of the most valuable takeaways.

There is another entertainer many will comment on who was undoubtedly the glue of the resort, but Braskin came in as the most authentic, young and lively spirit to have ever genuinely interacted with us. I have visited 7 other resorts in the past 9 years, and this was by far my absolute favorite, mainly because of this individual. Thank you again, Melia, I will be back next year, if not sooner!!!! Braskin were coming for you!

The hotel has a lovely ambiance with a superb location. On one side you are looking out to the golf course, and on the other hand, there are beautiful views of the beach. The service from all the staff was excellent and welcoming when they shared the el cielo cozumel private tour they go to. The main restaurant was good with plenty of choices though maybe not quite 4* standard.

The independent restaurants were a bit mixed, and the booking system was weak. The cocktail bar was fantastic, and there was always something going on in the lobby in the evening. All in all, we had a good experience and would definitely return if we revisit Cuba.

The service was amazing in this hotel! From the breakfast buffet to the many restaurants available. Absolutely no complaints. The Level treatment was so worth it. If not for the travel ban, this would be my vacation once or twice per year.
