Great Resort Location

This was our first time in Cancun, and we did not know what to expect. Resort location was excellent; the staff was accommodating. Resort met our expectations — airport and other activities close to the area. We will be back soon!

We recently visited Cancun and stayed at the Royal Islander. Great resort and location. Friendly staff with interesting cozumel flyboard suggestions, and spotless rooms. We used the on-site Royal Market for all of our food needs and found to cost to be reasonable and tasty variety. Octavio and Javier helped us with a room change, so a big hi-five to them and everyone at the front desk.

Great Wifi reception. The beach was clean and very little seaweed in the ocean with a water temp of close to 85 and possibly warmer. We gave the Royal Islands 5 stars and will return there when we return to Cancun. Cancun in itself is very modern with a new airport, and we felt completely safe. A great vacation destination, Tom H.

It’s like a 2nd home but in front of the best beach in the world. The rooms are like apartments, including all the things you need for the best stay. Receptions people are always available to solve every problem you are having.

I have been coming and staying at the Royal Islander for about 20 years. It’s great to see the same faces year after year. The resort is impeccable. They take pride in keeping the resort beautiful and clean. The service from the whole resort is top-notch. Every team member makes you feel appreciated and welcomed.

I like hearing them great me by my last name. Very personalized. There was also enough pool chairs and beach tiki’s available. Not sure if there is an issue on a busier time of the year. I like the pastries in the Royal market, accompanied by a coffee from the lobby coffee stand. The only thing that in our opinion could have been better was the room service food meals. Pizza and burgers were a bit off according to what we are used to. This resort is a must for crowds wanting to relax — no all-inclusive which we like.

No young crowds are playing drinking games and getting rowdy. Quiet at the hotel pretty much all day and at night shuts down around 10 pm. We booked two tours with Thomas Moore, and they were great. Swimming with the whale sharks was a great once in a lifetime experience. Tulum, Cobá, Cenote, and Mayan Village tour was excellent.
